No strings attached

Since Barry's last post two weeks ago he has been looking for a transformer and a DMD controller board. Posting it on the NFV Forum once again proved to be a good move, because the DMD controller board was located quite quickly in the Nijmegen area (thanks to Joris for picking it up). The transformer took a bit longer but a guy who knew a guy led us to Pinball Palace in Berghem, where we picked up a Gilligan's Island transformer and some loose ends that we were allowed to take from an empty Doctor Who cabinet.

Back at the HQ we installed the transformer and DMD Controller board, and made the appropriate wiring to power that board. When we powered on the machine, we could only conclude that Clay had been right and that the DMD was now working inside the Bride, with no more "strings" attached to the Creature!

Strangely our "new" DMD behaved weird when controlled by the P-ROC, but when we swapped it with the Creature's DMD all was well (also in the Creature).

We're very happy that our setup is slowly coming together, and that we have a plasma DMD working instead of a LED dmd. There's still a TODO list for the hardware side of things:
- Flat cable from P-ROC to DMD
- Power cable from DMD Controller board to P-ROC
- Power cable from Power driver board to DMD Controller board
- Get existing speakers + woofer working with the laptop or finding another solution for sound
- Cutting and stickering a new speaker panel plastic
- Find a fitting H-profile
- Proper mounting of the DMD display
- Have our P-ROC swapped with a modified version courtesy of Gerry.
